An introduction to PST Corporate Travel

Martin Wellings Corporate Service TravelThe roots of PST Corporate go back to 1953 in the days of the fledgling holiday market, but since that time, we have created a totally separate corporate business to dedicate our resources to the requirements of the business traveller. There is one thing however, that has remained totally unchanged in the last half century, and that is our concept of the way we look after our clients. We still firmly believe in providing a personal service.

It would be good to report that travel is now easier and better than it ever was, but regretfully this is not the case, and in fact the reverse is true. Many of the airlines deliberately disguise the true cost of the flight, publicising the fares excluding the taxes, and by adding all sorts of extras - one airline even charges for the dubious "privilege" of checking-in!

There are now a huge number of fares to the same destination, it is more time consuming to search for the best fares, and unfortunately with tightening security, much more advance information has to be sent to the airlines prior to the flight. For travel to several countries, it is a requirement to provide full names, nationality, date of birth and passport number even before the traveller has set foot in the airport.

In just the same way that taxation is becoming more complicated for your accountant, travel is becoming more complicated for your travel consultant, and in either case few companies could afford the time, let alone the risk, of trusting that the right information will be available on a convenient website.

It is PST Corporate`s business to clear the minefield of the host of airfares out there, to take on the responsibility of getting you to your meetings on schedule, to deal with the paperwork, and finally to remove much of the hassle associated with travel today.
